BRENTHONNE Haute-Savoie, France.

A site near Thonon-les-Bains, which shows signs of a long occupation. A luxurious building (villa?) is now being excavated. A number of pools with rubble walls coated on the inside with a mortar of broken tiles must have belonged to the baths. Judging from the material that has been found, the building dates from the 2d c. A Burgundian tomb dates from the 6th c.
