[537] ἐπιμίξ, i.e. ‘the war-god wreaks his rage indiscriminately.’ Cp. “Τρῶες ὀρίνονται ἐπιμίξ Il.11. 525, and “ξυνὸς Ἐνυάλιος Il.18. 309, like ‘Mars communis’ Cic. ad Cic. Fam. 6. 4. 1; Liv.5. 12. 1. Archil. frag. 62 “ἐτήτυμον γὰρ ξυνὸς ἀνθρώποις Ἄρης”.
