[228] κτείνειν: explanatory (or final) infinitive. cf. “μιγήμεναι” 161. This thought is carried on also with “πόρῃ.—ὃν κτλ”.: gives the necessary limitation to the preceding expression. It is parallel to “ὅν κε δύνηαι” 229.

θεὸς πόρῃ: placed before “ποσὶ κιχείω” because of its precedence in thought.

κιχείω: “κιχῶ”.
