The Names of figures.

Figure of the Grecians are called Tropes and Schemates, and of the Latines, figures, exornations, lights, colours and ornaments. Cicero who supposing them to be named of the Grecians Schemates, as gestures and countenances of speech, called them Concinnitie that is, proprietie, aptnesse, comlinesse, formes and conformations, comprissing all ornaments under one name.
