CHAP. 103.—THE POLYRRHIZON: FIVE REMEDIES.

The polyrrhizon1 has leaves like those of myrtle, and numerous roots. These roots are pounded and administered in wine, for injuries inflicted by serpents: they are useful, also, for cattle.
