Companies “D,” “G,” “H,” “I” and “K” on duty guarding railroad, fell back to Coldwater, December 20, 1862, and assisted in repulse of Van Dorn's attack December 20.

Companies “D,” “G,” “H” and “K” [1090] formed temporarily into a Battalion and attached to 14th Illinois Infantry till March, 1863.
