Left State for Washington, D. C., May 19.

Attached to 1st Brigade, DeRussy's Division, 22nd Army Corps, to July, 1864.

2nd Brigade, DeRussy's Division, 22nd Army Corps, to August, 1864.

Assigned to duty in the Defenses of Washington south of the Potomac as garrison at Fort Ethan Allen and in fortifications south of the Potomac till September.

Repulse of Early's attack on Washington July 11-12.

Mustered out September 4, 1864.

Regiment lost during service 41 Enlisted men by disease.
