κούρη Persephone. ματρί Demeter; the special divinities of Sicily. Bacchyl. iii. 1: “ ἀριστοκάρπου Σικελίας κρέουσανΔάματρα ἰοστέφανόν τε κούραν ὕμνει.
” Cf. Pind. Ol. vi. 160 where Ζεὺς Αἰτναῖος is added as a third to the gods of Syracuse.
