YSTRADFELLTE Wales.

An 8.4 ha Roman marching camp on the Brecknock-Carmarthenshire border at SN 924162. It lies on high moorland close to the Roman road running S from the Brecon Gaer to Coelbren. It was discovered in aerial photographs, which show the camp as a parallelogram with an internal clavicula in the middle of the E rampart. Excavation showed that the rampart was 1.4 m wide and built of turf with a nearly vertical face. A berm of 0.5 m separated the rampart from a single V-shaped ditch ca. 1.8 m wide.
