I.a mountain-fortress in Sicily, between Selinus and Heraclea, now ruins near Calatabellotta, Sil. 14, 270.—Hence, Trĭōcălī-nus , a, um, adj., of or belonging to Triocala: “in Triocalino (sc. agro),Cic. Verr. 2, 5, 4, § 10.—In plur.: Trĭōcălīni , ōrum, m., the inhabitants of Triocala, Plin. 3, 8, 14. § 91.
