In him the painter labour'd with his skill (1507)

To hide deceit, and give the harmless show (1508)

An humble gait, calm looks, eyes wailing still, (1509)

A brow unbent, that seem'd to welcome woe; (1510)

Cheeks neither red nor pale, but mingled so
That blushing red no guilty instance gave, (1512)

Nor ashy pale the fear that false hearts have.
