As through an arch the violent roaring tide (1668)
Outruns the eye that doth behold his haste, (1669)
Yet in the eddy boundeth in his pride (1670)
Back to the strait that forced him on so fast; (1671)
In rage sent out, recall'd in rage, being past:

To push grief on, and back the same grief draw.
