3. to take care of, look after John V. vi. 32, 2H6 I. i. 205 “they do tend the profit of the land.”
4. to guard R3 IV. i. 92 “good angels thee!” (Qq “guard”).
5. to accompany R2 IV. i. 199 “They” [cares] “ the crown.”
