Sessa, probably a cry used by way of exhorting to swift running (cf. the German sasa): let the world “slide, s.” Shr. Ind. 1, 6. “Dolphin my boy, s.! let him trot by,” Lr. III, 4, 104. “dogs leap the hatch, and all are fled. Do de de de. S.! come march to wakes,” III, 6, 77.
