retain Greek forms of inflection. So especially—
- Genitive singular in -os, as,

- Accusative singular in -a, as,

.
- Vocative singular like the stem, as,

- Nominative plural in -ĕs, as,
hērōĕs.
- Accusative plural in -ăs, as,
hērōăs
