FLAYOSC Var, France.

Four km W of Draguignan are many traces of a Gallo-Roman settlement in the vicinity of Saint-Pierre chapel. There are floors in opus signinum, pieces of dolia, drums of columns, pottery, millstones, inhumation burials under tiles, and the funerary inscription of one C. Iulius Asiaticus (CIL 12,288). A mediaeval settlement is mentioned by 11th c. texts. The material is deposited at the Centre de Documentation Archéologique du Var at Draguignan.
