MASSACIUCCOLI Tuscany, Italy.

The site of a Roman Imperial habitation center with a well-preserved bath complex built in the middle of the 1st c. A.D; the ancient name is unknown. The baths, of asymmetrical plan but of advanced engineering and design, show an interesting stage in the evolution of bath architecture. Whether they belonged to a large villa or a station on the Via Aemilia Scauri is disputed.
