The order （instead of ἀπόλλυται, οὐκέτ᾽ οἶδα）is a bold ”hyperbaton “: cp. Soph. OC 1427 “τίς δὲ τολμήσει κλύων ι τὲ τοῦδ᾽ ἕπεσθαι τἀνδρός ... ;” and Soph. OC 135 ff. Blaydes cp. Eur. Her. 205 “σοὶ δ᾽ ὡς ἀνάγκη τούσδε βούλομαι φράσαι ι σῴζειν,” where σῴζειν ought to come before βούλομαι.
