[1330] κακὰ κακὰ κ.τ.λ. The dochmiac metre is sound (see Metrical Analysis): it is νομάδος in the antistrophe (1350) which is corrupt. Prof. Campbell, however, retaining the latter, here changes the second κακὰ to κακῶς, and the first ἐμὰ to ἐμοί. The iteration of τάδε, κακὰ, ἐμὰ is in a style which the lyrics of tragedy admitted where vehement agitation was expressed. Euripides carried it to excess. But here, at least, it is in place.
