The καὶ belongs to σύ: “even thou ” who didst not believe Teiresias. This is not spoken in mockery, but with grave sorrow. The phrase πίστιν φέροις as = πιστεύοις （ Soph. El. 735 “τῷ τέλει πίστιν φέρων）” prob. = “render belief” （as a tribute due）, cp. φόρον, δασμόν, χρήματα φέρειν, and the like figure in Pind. O. 11.17 “νικῶν ι Ἴλᾳ φερέτω χάριν.”
