[177] ἀκτὰν πρὸς for πρὸς ἀκτάν, since the attributive gen. ἑσπέρου θεοῦ is equiv. to an adj. agreeing with ἀκτάν: cp. Soph. OC 84 “ἕδρας ι πρώτων ἐφ᾽ ὑμῶν,” Soph. OC 126 “ἄλσος ἐς ... κορᾶν”: Soph. El. 14 “τοσόνδ᾽ ἐς ἥβης”: so Aesch. PB 653, Aesch. Seven 185: Eur. Orest. 94. ἑσπέρου θεοῦ: as the Homeric Erebos is in the region of sunset and gloom (Hom. Od. 12.81), and Hades is “ἐννυχίων ἄναξ” Soph. OC 1559.
