μάντεων ὑπέρτερον = βέλτιον μάντεις ἴσασιν (better, therefore, than they could tell <*> Schol. “ λόγος παροιμιακῶς, ὁπότε μὴ <*>σμῷ χρώμεθα, ἀλλ᾽ αὐτόπται τῶν πρ<*> γινόμεθα”. H. T. 6), i.e. ‘I need no <*> tell me that’:— imitated by the <*> of the Rhesus 949 “σοφιστὴν δ᾽ ἄλλον <*>τάξομαι”, who also has 952 “ᾔδη <*>δὲν μάντεως ἔδει φράσαι”. Cp. O. <*> <*>.
