ἐξεπέμψωθουρίῳ: a reminiscence of Aesch. Pers. 137(“ἑκάστα”, each Persian wife) “τὸν αἰχμάεντα θοῦρον εὐνατῆρα προπεμψαμένα”: where, as here, the midd.=‘from herself.’

πρὶν δή ποτε, ‘in some bygone day.’

Ἄρει with α_, as in 254 (n.).
