τί δρᾷς..; Odysseus is brave, but reasonably reluctant to face a raging maniac who hates him (1336).

μηδαμῶς σφ᾽ ἔξω κάλει. The omission of “σφ̓” (cr. n.) seems undesirable here; though it could be defended (see Ph. 801 n.). Cp. 496.
