ὤμοι, κατέπεφνες, ἄναξτάλας. The text is not certain here; but it seems most probable that v. 901 is sound, and that in the antistr., 947 f., “ἄναυδ᾽ ἔργ̓” should replace “ἄναυδον ἔργον”. The “ἰὼ” or “” which the MSS. place before τάλας in 902 may well have been an error.—Cp. Ant. 871θανὼν ἔτ᾽ οὖσαν κατήναρές με”: and El. 808.
