ὡς δ᾽ ἔστ᾽ ἐμοὶ μὲν οὐχίκ.τ.λ.”: cp. Xen. An. 2. 5. 35οἱ δὲ πάντες μὲν οὐκ ἦλθον, Ἀριαῖος δὲ καὶ Ἀρτάοζος κ.τ.λ.” —Odysseus anticipates the objection that, if there is to be a stratagem, he should conduct it himself,—as Aesch. and Eur. had made him do: cp. 13 n.

ὁμιλία, merely ‘intercourse,’ in a general sense: the special meaning, ‘colloquy,’ (seen in the Gk. “μοδ. ὁμιλέω”=‘to speak,’) is postclassical.

πιστὴ, trusted by Philoctetes; cp. 1272. βέβαιος, safe for Neoptolemus.
