φλεγέθων: for this direct invocation (continued in 102), following “Ἅλιον αἰτῶ”, cp. O. T.164προφάνητέ μοι” (after “Ἄρτεμιν” and “Φοῖβον”).

στεροπᾷ, usu. ‘lightning,’ here, ‘flashing light’; so the word is used of flashing armour ( Il.11. 83, etc.).
