BUCINUM

a name found in the Regionary Catalogue in Region IV, and once in the Digest (14. 4. 6. 16). It occurs in the Catalogue among monuments that were probably near the lower end of the Subura, and it was probably a conch shell or horn, represented in monumental form, that gave its name to the locality (Mitt. 1907, 429-433; BPW 1914, 382).
