on the western part of the ridge of the Quirinal, known only from a lead pipe found in the vigna of the Cardinal d'Este in the sixteenth century, corresponding with the west part of the Palazzo del Quirinale (CIL xv. 7427). Appius Claudius Martialis was leg. Aug. pro praet. Prov. Thraeiae (161-169 A.D.; Pros. i. 387. 743). Cf. Hilsen, Rom. Antikengarten 87; HJ 423, 424.
