[351] κάμμορον, ‘ill-fated,’ as it were ‘fate-ridden.’ For the assimilation compare “καμμονίη” for “καταμονίη”, Il.22. 257.Similar combinations are “κατάκορος, κατάπονος. ὀιομένη” according to the Schol.=“ἐν οἰἠσει ἔχουσα καὶ δοξάζουσα ἐλεύσεσθαι τὸν δυστυχῆ”. Cp. Od.10. 248γόον δ᾽ ὠίετο θυμός”.
