ἴκρια , τά (sg. v. infr. 111; for the accent v. Hdn.Gr.1.357),
A.halfdeck at the stern of a ship, “νηῶν ἴκρι᾽ ἐπῴχετο μακρὰ βιβάσθων” Il.15.676; [“κυβερνήτης] κάππεσ᾽ ἀπ᾽ ἰκριόφιν” Od.12.414; εἰς ἴκρια νηὸς ἔβαινον πρῴρης (i.e. from the prow) ib.229; “νηὸς ἐπ᾽ ἰκριόφιν καταλέξεται” 3.353; “εὐπάκτων ἐπ᾽ ἰκρίων σταθεὶς ὄρουσε” B.16.83: wrongly expld. by Eust. as = ἐγκοίλια in Od.5.252, but perh. so used by Nonn. D.40.447,452; expld. as = κεραία in A.R.1.566 by Sch., but prob. wrongly, cf. Lyc.751.
