ἐννέωρος (cf. ὧρος), Ep. Adj. the ninth season: hence,
1. Μίνως ἐννέωρος βασίλευε Διὸς . . ὀαριστής perh. at nine years old or after nine years, Od.19.179, cf. Apollon.Lex.; Pl.Min.319b couples . ὀαριστής taking counsel with Zeus every ninth year.
2. nine years old, of the Aloidae, Od.11.311; “βοῦς10.19 (unless, = πενταέτηρος, ὧρος meaning a season, i.e. half-year, cf. Arist.HA575b6); “σίαλοιOd.10.390; “ἄλειφαρIl.18.351. (Perh. = of full age, ἐννέα being taken as a round number, cf.Sch.Il.l. c.)
3. (ὥρα) nine hours long,νύκτεςHerod.8.5.
