συνῳδός (also συνα^οιδός E.HF787 (lyr.)), όν, (ᾠδή)
A.singing or sounding in unison with, echoing or responsive to, ὄρνις . . ἄχεσι ς. E. Ph.1518 (lyr.); “θρηνήμασι φίλαι ξυνῳδοί” Id.Or.133, cf. Hel.174 (lyr.).
2. abs., in harmony, accordant, “λόγος” Pl.Phd.92c; “ἦχος” D.H.Comp.22; “ῥῆμα” APl.4.226 (Alc.); ὦ ξυνῳδοὶ κτύποι cj. in E. Supp.73 (lyr.).
II. metaph., according with, in harmony with, c. dat., Hdt.5.92.γ́, E.Med.1008, etc.; “ἐμοὶ φρονῶν ξυνῳδά” Ar.Av. 635 (lyr.); “λόγοι ς. τοῖς ἔργοις” Arist.EN1172b5, cf. 1098b30; ς. εἰσὶν οἱ ἀστέρες τοῖς ἀποτελές μασι PMich. in Class.Phil.22.16; ὁκόσα πεπέρει ξυνῳδά pepper and cognate substances, Aret.CA1.10: c. gen., τὴν “ὁμοείδειαν ς. τοῦ τόνου” A.D.Adv.165.23: abs., “ἴσως ξυνῳδὸς τῷ χρόνῳ γενήσεται” Call.Com.2（a) D.
