(E.IT367, etc.; “θρήνοις . . σ᾽ ὑμνήσομενId.Rh. 976): also in Prose, celebrate in a hymn, commemorate,ὮπινHdt. 4.35; “τὰς τούτων ἀρετάςLys.2.2, cf. 2. in pass. sense, φῆμαι . . ὑμνήσουσι περὶ τὰ ὦτα will ring in their ears, Pl.R.463d. [On the quantity, v. ὕμνος.]
