I.cunningly or curiously wrought, Aesch.: in Hom. only in neut. as Subst., δαίδαλα πάντα all cunning works, Il.; so in sg., Od. prop. n., Δαίδαλος, , Daedalus, i. e. the cunning worker, the artist, from Cnosus in Crete, contemporary with Minos, mentioned in Il. as maker of a χορός for Ariadne.
