I. A leg or side of meat cut off, esp. of pork; a leg of pork, flitch of bacon, Varr. L.L. 5, § 110 Müll.; id. R. R. 2, 4, 3: “jam hortum ipsi agricolae succidiam alteram appellant,their second flitch, Cic. Sen. 16, 56. — *
