splendĕo , ēre (
I.perf. splendui, Aug. Conf. 10, 27), v. n., to shine, be bright; to gleam, glitter, glisten (mostly poet.; in Cic. only once in the trop. sense; syn.: luceo, fulgeo, niteo).
