[35] Cepheia Andromede. Andromede was the daughter of Cepheus king of aethiopia. Her mother's name was Cassiope, who contending for the prize of beauty with the nymphs, her daughter was by them in revenge bound to a rock, and exposed to a sea-monster; but Perseus, having shin the monster, set her at liberty and married her.
