Corycia

Κωρυκία). A nymph, who became by Apollo the mother of Lycorus, or Lycoreus, and from whom the Corycian cave on Mount Parnassus was believed to have derived its name. (See Pausan. x. 6, 5.) The Muses are sometimes called by the poets Corycides Nymphae.
