Now Ansedonia; an ancient city of Etruria near the sea, with a good harbour, called
Herculis Portus, and after the fall of Falerii one of the twelve Etruscan cities. The ancient
towers and polygonal walls, 1600 yards in circumference, are still admirably preserved.
