(also Danapris). Another name for the Borysthenes, first mentioned in an anonymous Periplus of the Euxine Sea. It is now the Dnieper. A little above its mouth the river widens into a kind of lake or marsh, called Liman, into which the Bog, the ancient Hypanis or Bogus, one of the principal tributaries of the Dnieper, discharges itself.
