Dictynnia

τὰ Δικτύννια). A festival with sacrifices, celebrated at Cydonia in Crete, in honour of Artemis, surnamed Δίκτυννα, from δίκτυον, “a hunter's net” (Diod. Sic. v. 76). Particulars respecting its celebration are not known. Artemis Δίκτυννα was also worshipped at Sparta (Pausan. iii. 12.7) and at Ambrysos in Phocis (Pausan. x. 36.3).
