description ( Div. ii. 63; Moret. 5), such as was used by poor people, having a mere network of cords stretched over the frame (Hor. Sat. vi. 13; Gerlach. Petron. 97.4), to support the mattress, precisely as represented by the annexed illustration from a terra-cotta lamp.
