Inăros
(
Ἰνάρως, Ἴναρος). Son of Psammetichus, a Libyan, and
the leader of a revolt of the Egyptians against the Persians in B.C. 461. He was at first
successful, and formed an alliance with the Athenians, but was eventually defeated by the
Persians, taken prisoner, and crucified in 455. See
