Limaea, Limia

or Limius. Now the Lima; a river in Spain between the Durius (Douro) and the Minius (Minbo), flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. It was also called Flumen Oblivionis or “River of Forgetfulness,” from the legend that the Turduli and Kelts once lost their leader at this river and forgot the object of their expedition (Pliny , Pliny H. N. iv. 115; Sil. Ital. i. 235, xvi. 476; Quaest. Rom. 34).
