Plautia Gens

a plebeian gens at Rome. The name is also written Plotius, the latter being the plebeian form. The gens was divided into the families of Hypsaeus, Proculus, Silvanus, Venno, Venox; and although several members of these families obtained the consulship, none of them is of sufficient importance to require a separate notice.
