cities of Pisidia, stood on the south side of Mount Taurus, on the Eurymedon, just where the
river breaks through the mountain chain. Its people were the most warlike of all the
Pisidians, and claimed descent from the Lacedemonians, even inscribing the name Λακεδαίμων
on their coins (Strabo, p. 570). Ruins of the ancient
city still exist.
