Also called Heraclēa Trachiniae, or Heraclēa Phthiotĭdis, or simply
Heraclēa, a town of Thessaly in the district
Malis, celebrated as the residence of Heracles for a time.
2.
A town of Phocis, on the frontiers of Boeotia, and on the slope of Mount Helicon in the
neighbourhood of Lebadea.
