Τρίκκη), subsequently Tricăla (Τρίκαλα). Now Trikkala; an ancient town of Thessaly in the district Hestiaeotis, situated on the Lethaeus, north of the Peneus. Homer represents it as governed by the sons of Asclepius; and it contained in later times a celebrated temple of this god.
