COLTHE´NE (Κολθηνή, Ptol. 5.13), a district in the E. of Armenia, on the banks of the Araxes. St. Martin (Mém. sur l'Armenie, vol. i. p. 127) identifies it with Koghthen in Vasbouragan. (Comp. Ritter, Erdkunde, vol. x. p. 547.) [E.B.J]
